Did anyone hear Elizabeth Blair’s piece on Morning Edition today about the old Speed Racer cartoons? She was comparing the classic anime series with the new Wachowski Brothers movie set to be released this week. What struck me was hearing all those cartoon voices and sounds again for the first time in years - and the flood of memories that came pouring back. I was a pretty huge fan of Speed Racer as a kid and was happy to find an Official Speed Racer website this morning. Don’t know if I’m ready for this updated movie version.
