TIFs get a Web 2.0 follower

One of the most interesting local issues to me is the City’s Tax Increment Financing districts. Ben Joravsky of the Chicago Reader is one of the most consistent followers of TIFs in Chicago’s local media- you may recall him as a guest on Eight Forty-Eight back in October. It seems that Medill student Adam Verwymeren has now taken up the issue as well. Last week he published his Google Map of all the TIF districts in the city, and on Friday I found out about his children’s book explaining TIFs in the simplest terms possible.
