Get on the boat!

The IL delegation has their field trip today, with outings to both the zoo and a boat cruise. Or maybe it’s a zoo cruise. I don’t know, the media elite was not invited. I think the WWF should create a new wrestler character called “The Media Elite”. Model him after the ole’ Jimmy Hart (mouth of the south), then have the good guys come in and bash him when he’s being slimy behind someone’s back. Give him a camera and a computer too as to make it seem he is always uploading to his blog. The delegation is partying it up today in celebration of tonight’s acceptance speech by Arizona Senator John McCain. I’m in the lobby of the hotel right now uploading the breakfast meeting to the team back in Chicago. Rob Wildeboer has the hotel room on lockdown after he pulled an all-nighter on his morning feature of the first time delegate. I need to get back up there and take a nap but it smells a little bit like old pizza and sweat. Maybe I could market that smell as colognes for hard working all-night journalists. I’m going to go off-line for a bit and take in downtown Mlps. I’ll bring my camera. For now, enjoy this picture of Newt and admirer. Shall we have a caption contest?
