The McFadden Whitehead song from 30 years ago played as Obama was declared the winner. People danced and poured champagne and screeeeeaaaamed!! One onlooker chastised me for not celebrating and just having my mic out. I’m now at Steelelife Gallery, also in Bronzeville. The DJ is jamming and the people not crying or praying are walking around in a daze of disbelief.
