The Daybook: Countdown to Olympic announcement

Today, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley is in Washington, DC to meet with President Barack Obama. I’m sure Daley’s careful language about how much he wants Obama in Copenhagen next month (and all the subsequent media coverage) won’t be awkward at all. Chicago Urban League President Cheryle Jackson will officially have her official campaign kickoff today. Officially. And the Cook County Board is debating some new language about the relationship between lobbyists and Cook County officials (Item #2).
