Video: Sharon Van Etten performs Peace Signs in an L Session

You may recall that we shot “L Sessions” with a few musicians outside the Pitchfork Music Festival back in July. We’ve already released songs from St. Vincent and Sonny and the Sunsets. Today we premiere the first track from New Jersey singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten. Her second album, Epic, is out this week and is a departure from the minimal guitar and voice-only sound of her debut Because I Was In Love. This performance is of “Peace Signs,” a song from Epic, but here done solo with just acoustic guitar. When you get the album you can compare and contrast this version with the more produced studio version. Hope you enjoy it. (PS to Chicagoans- Sharon returns to Chicago on November 6th to play a show at Lincoln Hall with a full band.)
