115th US Congress Begins With Two New Illinois Democrats

The 115th United States Congress has officially gaveled into session in Washington, D.C. Illinois’ delegation includes two new Democrats. One of the those members is Brad Schneider -- though this isn’t his first time serving the 10th district. He and now-former Congressman Bob Dold have battled each other for the seat the past few elections. The other is Raja Krishnamoorthi, who will serve the 8th district in the northwestern suburbs. He is the first Indian-American to represent Illinois in Congress.
