WBEZ Next Giving Society
The WBEZ Next Giving Society brings together leadership supporters to WBEZ who help advance our impactful mission and work.
At Chicago Public Media, the home of WBEZ and Chicago Sun-Times, we work across neighborhoods, subject areas, and platforms to cover complex issues, going beyond daily updates to uncover stories that might otherwise go untold. We hold those in power accountable by exposing corruption and abuse, surfacing inequities that disenfranchise our neighbors. We analyze the impact of critical decisions, such as school and mental health clinic closings. At the same time, we bring people together, celebrate our community, and uplift Chicago by amplifying the voices of community leaders and activists, producing activity guides encouraging people to explore our city, and elevating meaningful solutions to issues facing our community.
Each week, Chicago Public Media serves 4 million readers and listeners with independent, rigorous, fact-based journalism across multiple platforms—audio, broadcast, digital, and print—connecting people across Chicagoland more deeply to each other and their communities.
