Why COVID Herd Immunity Isn’t As Easy As We Think

With the COVID-19 virus able to quickly mutate, is herd immunity easier said than done? Typically, herd immunity can be achieved by vaccinating at least 70 to 90 percent of a population. But when it comes to COVID-19, public health officials say mass vaccination requires a more targeted and robust approach to succeed in achieving herd immunity.
