Where will Taste of Chicago be in 2023? Food fest plan up in the air due to ‘planning disaster’

Taste of Chicago may be at Navy Pier due to NASCAR. Meanwhile, Lollapalooza and Sueños music fests aim to reduce their impact on Grant Park.

There’s a lot of competition for events in Grant Park this summer. For the first time in 40 years, the Taste of Chicago food festival may take place elsewhere, possibly on Navy Pier, to make space for the NASCAR race downtown over Fourth of July. Meanwhile, two music festivals that use the park are taking steps to reduce their impact on the green space.
