Maple & Ash steakhouse accused of engaging in ‘rampant misappropriation’ of PPP funds

“Estranged investors” are suing the successful Chicago restaurant, saying its owners defrauded the federal Paycheck Protection Program.

Maple & Ash received $7.6 million in pandemic relief funds from the U.S. Small Business Administration through the Paycheck Protection Program. Investors in the restaurant say the owners used the money on a Learjet and personal expenses.
