Evanston high school is the third in the nation to pass a ‘Green New Deal’

The policy champions renewable energy practices and climate education.

Congress has not passed a Green New Deal, a set of policies that aims to reduce emissions and provide a just transition to green jobs, but students connected to the Sunrise Movement at Evanston Township High School have. ETHS is the third school in the nation with such a policy on the books, and several Chicago schools are in the beginning stages of similar campaigns.
