Morning Shift - March 2, 2015

Legendary White Sox player and Chicago’s first black major leaguer, Minnie Minoso died Sunday. Throughout his career, Minoso became known to many as Mr. White Sox and leaves behind a reputation in Chicago of being the team's ambassador and inspired generations of young black and Latino baseball players. We talk with Adrian Burgos, University of Illinois History Professor and WBEZ's Cheryl Raye Stout about Chicago losing its south-side baseball hero. Also, music from Mipso. (Flickr/guano)
