Hate crimes are on the rise in the U.S. In the last week alone, you’ve probably heard about the desecration of two Jewish cemeteries and the shooting of two Indian-Americans. Oren Segal of the Anti-Defamation League was on this program and confirmed the grim news. Chicagoan Christian Picciolini knows plenty about hate. Once a leader in the American white power movement, he underwent a major transformation and works to fight prejudice via his organization Life After Hate.

Picciolini joins us to talk about this new wave of incidents, what we have to fear, and how it may be related to the rhetoric of the Trump administration.
