Rick Mosher and Kenn Goodman became fast friends as freshman at Northern Illinois University in the early ’80s. They formed a band called The Service, created a record label and then started another band called The New Duncan Imperials.

More than three decades later, Pravda Records is still plugging along. Their latest project is called The Imperial Sound, and the album The New AM is filled with sweet hooks, soulful horns and guest vocals from some of the local scene’s best singers.
