Cookbooks, Cookbooks, and More Cookbooks

These days, if you’re looking for a recipe, where do you go? The answer for many people is simple: The internet. Or maybe if you’re even more tech-savvy, you have an app on your phone...AllRecipes, Big Oven, Yummly...There are dozens of recipe apps these days. But cookbooks continue to sell like hotcakes. (Pun intended.) Maybe it’s the glossy photos, or celebrity chef culture, or just the idea of making a delicious meal at home. Whatever the case, some delightful cookbooks hit shelves this year, and here to tell us about them is Nina Barrett, owner of Evanston’s indie bookstore Bookends and Beginnings. She also used to work here at WBEZ, and her series, Fear of Frying, won a James Beard Award.
