Hear What Rauner Is Doing Instead Of Attending The RNC

Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner says he’ll spend this week taking action on legislation - instead of spending the week trying to unify the Illinois Republican Party behind Donald Trump. Rauner has repeatedly refused to talk about Donald Trump. In a speech earlier this year, he asked Republicans to unify against Hillary Clinton - without mentioning Trump by name.

In the meantime, one Illinois delegate for Trump calls it a “slap in the face” that Rauner is skipping this week’s Republican National Convention. WBEZ’s Tony Arnold reports.
