Police give all clear at Grant Park

All’s clear in Grant Park.

Chicago police had cleared a section of Grant Park earlier Monday afternoon because of a suspicious package left near Buckingham Fountain. A police spokesman tells WBEZ that police were notified at shortly after 2 p.m. 

The CPD’s bomb and arson squad was called out to investigate. Officers determined it was a briefcase left near the fountain. Officers gave the all clear about an hour later.
