In a unanimous vote, Cook County commissioners adopted an amended 2018 budget — amended because it no longer includes $200 million in revenue from a now repealed sweetened-beverage tax. 

But in passage of the budget, some county workers will be laid off. And the county’s money issues aren’t over.
