Forest Bathing Connects Arboretum Visitors With Nature

The Worldview team went "forest bathing" — without soap or shampoo! This healing ritual has its roots in a Japanese tradition called Shinrin-Yoku, the practice of bathing the senses in the atmosphere of the forest. We explored the forest at The Morton Arboretum with Brenda Spitzer, a certified forest therapy guide, using touch, smell and even taste to appreciate our environment.

This week, we’re broadcasting from the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, sharing the beauty and science of the world around us with our listeners.
