Leaders of North and South Korea Hold Historic Meeting in Pyongyang
On Wednesday, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un held a joint press conference at the Paekhwawon State Guest House in Pyongyang, North Korea. According to a CNN article, President Moon Jae-in announced that "international experts" would observe the demolition of key nuclear facilities “if the United States agrees to corresponding measures.” Kim Jong Un would like to hold a second summit with President Donald Trump to accelerate the denuclearization process. Today we will discuss the historic meeting with Bruce Cumings, professor of history at the University of Chicago.
