Trees Are Helping Us Achieve UN Sustainability Goals

Trees make us happier and healthier; that’s what the research is saying. The United Nations developed 17 internationally agreed upon goals to improve the lives of humans around the world, such as providing access to quality education, eliminating poverty and promoting good health and well-being. And it turns out, trees can help us achieve 15 of those goals. To talk through the research that explains why, we are joined by Jessica Turner-Skoff, treeologist at The Morton Arboretum, and Nicole Cavender, vice president of science and conservation at the arboretum.

This week, we’re broadcasting from the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, sharing the beauty and science of the world around us with our listeners.
