India’s general elections will be held next spring. The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been attending rallies in strategic regions for his ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. The leader of the main opposition Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, said Modi has failed to take action against rising fuel prices, high crime rates, joblessness among youth and other major issues in the country. Joining us to discuss the country’s political climate is Salman Khurshid, a senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India and the former Minister of State for External Affairs under the last Congress Government in India.
