Worldview: March 18, 2016 - Climate Change, Biodiesel And Aquaponics

Worldview heads to Loyola University’s Institute of Environmental Sustainability to talk about climate change.

The Paris Agreement aims to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees. We take a look at what kinds of economic and social adjustments need to be made to reach that goal. TThe former Minister of the Environment of Sweden clues us in on how Sweden aims to transform itself into the lowest emitter per capita among developed countries.

Plus, we take a tour of the Institute of Environmental Sustainability’s biodiesel lab, where they make the fuel for their shuttle buses and soap for their campus.

Loyola also has an urban agricultural greenhouse complete with aquaponics, herbs and even tilapia. We get a look inside and learn how it all works.
