Community Renewal Society’s 35 Under 35 Awards recognize emerging leaders in the fight to eliminate racism and poverty. Conceived as a way to honor The Chicago Reporter‘s 35th anniversary, the 35 Under 35 Leadership Awards are a reflection of Community Renewal Society’s leadership development work over the last 127 years. Many of the organizations and individuals mentored by the society have gone on to make significant contributions to the communities they serve. Working with these young leaders, Community Renewal Society hopes to promote dialogue about community leadership that bridges generational divides.
