MayorEmanuel just unveiled his new budget. Read his lips: No new taxes. Or fees. Or fines. The budget appears to be less out of controlthan last year. However, Rahm ended his speech by warning the citycouncil of an impending fiscal crisis when the city’s pension payments comehome to roost (like so many billion dollar chickens). We dive insidethe proposed budget with WBEZ’s Alex Keefe, and a bevy of alder-persons: LeslieHairston (5th) Bob Fioretti (2nd) and Roderick Sawyer (6th).
