Chicago to open applications for universal basic income program April 25

Eligible residents can apply to Chicago’s guaranteed basic income program from April 25 to May 13. The Chicago Resilient Communities pilot will use a citywide lottery to choose 5,000 recipients of $500 monthly checks for a year.
