Austerity Standoff In Puerto Rico

The congressionally mandated Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico says 130,000 government workers must be furloughed. Puerto Rico’s governor refuses, but the oversight board says he doesn’t have that authority. People are protesting in the streets at the increasing austerity measures.
