It may seem like there’s been a lot of crime in Chicago this year. But Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis says that through the end of April, violent crime is actually down this year. Homicides, on the other hand, are up. That might sound like a contradiction. And that’s not the only problem. According to Tracy Siska, we’re actually missing a whole lot of information about crime. Siska is the Executive Director of the Chicago Justice Project, and he explains.
