Nerdette Book Club: Tana French’s ‘The Searcher’

Welcome to the Nerdette Book Club! Each month, we read a book and chat about it with a rotating group of panelists. This month’s pick is The Searcher by Tana French.

It’s a fish-out-of-water story about stranger in a strange land. It's also an homage to the classic Western genre. Cal, a retired Chicago police officer, moves to rural Western Ireland to renovate a ramshackle cabin. When a local kid asks for his help in finding a missing sibling, Cal can’t say no.

Listen along as Nerdette host Greta Johnsen discusses the book with historian and author Sarah Vowell and comedian (and Irish person!) Maeve Higgins. We also hear from many of you!
