A community group is calling for Chicago Public Schools to release information about students who have been arrested at schools.

Martine Caverl with Blocks Together says, “We want to know what race the kids were. We want to know how old they were when they were arrested. We want to know what school they attended. We want to know the gender. We want to know what the offense was. Those are what we’re asking for and we’re asking that CPS take responsibility for these arrests.”

The group says schools are too quick to call the police.

Chicago Public Schools says it doesn’t keep records of students arrested at school.
