The Illinois State Fair is underway in Springfield, with events like the sheep and swine show, and the cutest little farmer contest. But amongst the family fare, politics are at play, with each party using it to gather lawmakers and mingle with the public. Wednesday is Governor’s Day, or Democrats Day, and we check in with House Republican Leader Tom Cross to learn what he thinks his colleagues across the aisle need to do next in Springfield.
