Today, Chicago will have its first-ever outdoor festival dedicated to the city’s drag culture.

Curated by the group A Queer Pride, the Chicago Is A Drag Festival event will feature a lineup of guests and performers that represent drag from across generations, neighborhoods and performance styles.

Morning Shift sits down with event organizer Bambi Banks-Coulee, and Chicago drag king Travis Fiero (both of whom will be performing at the festival) for more on what we can expect from this first-ever festival.
