Chicago is one of 20 finalists for the Mayors Challenge, a national contest designed to award cities money for the most innovative ideas created to address the city’s most pressing issues. Chicago’s idea is to translate all the disparate data it consumes to create a more cohesive way to scale back traffic accidents and manage weather emergencies, among other things.
