Chicago is receiving one of the biggest grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide direct aid and housing vouchers. The Chicago Continuum of Care, a collective of more than 100 organizations and individuals working to end homelessness in the city, will be in charge of directing the funds.
