One of Chicago’s longest running comedy festivals kicks off tonight in a far-flung, northwest corner of the city. The Edison Park Infectious Comedy Fest is bringing stand-up stars to venues around the neighborhood over the next six days. We spoke with three guests about EPIC Fest. Kelsie Huff is a live lit instructor at StoryStudio Chicago and a stand-up teacher at Tight Five. She’s performing at The Curragh October 18 at 7 p.m. Tim Barnes hosts the storytelling podcast “It’s All True.” And Tony Valle is the owner of The WIP Theater and president of the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce, which is presenting the event.
