A group of health officials from Cuba is visiting clinics on Chicago’s south and southwest sides this week. It’s part of a partnership between Cuba’s Ministry of Health and the University of Illinois health and hospital system. The visit is meant in part to be an idea exchange — Cuba runs a renohealthcare system without much money or resources. The plan includes embedding a group of Cuban doctors in a Chicago health clinic sometime in the next few months.
