2. Garage Rep applications are now being accepted. Considering the success of Hit the Wall, it seems likely that people might be even more encouraged to do 2013’s season. If your company wants some Garage Rep action, feel free to  “attend an informational meeting at 6pm on April 23, 2012 in the Garage Theatre (1624 N Halsted St); members of Steppenwolf’s artistic staff discuss the application and selection process, and Garage Rep alumni share their experiences.” Applications are due at 5 pm on June 1, 2012.

3. Chris Hardwick took The Nerdist Live to the Vic. If you want to know every single joke they made, read this TimeOut review. We do get to know that “the Nerdist hosts exuded an air of approachability, an unlikely yet fitting byproduct of the cult following which they have obtained. Unfiltered by earbuds, the show yielded charmingly candid observations in addition to a bevy of topical quips.”

4. The Chicago Improv Festival is next week; it runs from April 23 through 29. The Reader delivers highlights, some of whom are local and you can see whenever, and some of whom are from Russia or Ohio.

5. Hopefully the last and final word on Mike Daisey from Ira Glass, who talked to Alison Cuddy before his St. Charles show.
