The battle between the Cubs and the Mets for the National League pennant got off to a brisk start over the weekend. After two match-ups at Citi Field in Queens, the Mets lead the series 2-0 going into game three Tuesday night at Wrigley. Another thing that’s off to a strong start — and only seems to be getting stronger — is the trash talk. WNYC’s Jim O’Grady, a lifelong Mets fan, and WBEZ’s own Jason Marck, who bleeds Cubbie blue, have been going at it for days.
