After a summer of delays and cancellations, the U.S. Department of Transportation is calling on the airlines to improve service.

After your flight is delayed or canceled, what is your airline obligated to give you? A meal? A hotel room for the night? After a summer where nearly a quarter of flights experienced delays, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced Thursday the creation of an online dashboard where travelers can check the commitments their airlines have made in the event of a delay or cancellation.
