How do Chicago Public Schools stack up against the rest of the state? 

CPS may have long had a negative reputation as far as performance, research finds that the reality doesn't match the perception. A new study from the Center for Urban Education Leadership at the University of Illinois at Chicago analyzed 15 years of CPS test scores and found that Chicago students are actually far outperforming their counterparts across the state
