Really. It is so packed on the floor right now you can’t even move. They are shutting down the lanes to the delegations because there are too many media types (mostly big media) and people blocking. But we persevere. We have a few stories we are working on tonight. Amanda Vinicky from Illinois Public Radio talked to Alderman Mell about getting kicked out of a hotel after bothering John Kerry (Trib broke story). Mell helped a delegate get a photo with Kerry and a couple minutes later security kicked them out of the hotel. Amanda talked to Mell who told her that Kerry actually called today to apologize. Rob Wildeboer is working on a story that has been the source for IL delegation breakfast jokes over the last 2 days: credentials. I guess there is a big shortage and a bunch of people are looking/being promised some. And Ben Calhoun is watching the speech with some Hillary folks at a party far away from the Pepsi Center to see if they are ready to bury the hatchet and back Obama.
