Experimental art space faces uncertain future after building bought by Loyola University

Roman Susan provides paid opportunities for artists in the Great Lakes region to showcase their work.

In addition to Roman Susan, there are other businesses and 30 apartments in the building next to the Loyola redline stop. The gallery’s directors have called on Loyola to respect the needs of residents, neighbors as well as Loyola students as the university moves forward.

In a statement, Loyola said it would honor the leases of tenants.
