This weekend France is set to elect its next president. The race remains tight with Socialist Party candidate Francois Hollande only slightly ahead of current president Nicolas Sarkozy. Sarkozy did not lose the debate, but observers believe he likely didn’t hold up well enough to make up his six point lag in the polls.
