Millions of children around the world are currently abandoned or orphaned and have no family to call their own. Poverty, disease, maternal mortality, HIV/AIDS, social exclusion, war and corruption all contribute to the global orphan crisis. Around five million children are orphaned or abandoned in Ethiopia, and the Selamta Family Project organization is working to change that. The project’s executive and country directors join us to discuss how the organization is helping vulnerable children.
