On August 18, 1920 the 19th Amendment was ratified, guaranteeing women the right to vote. An early effort to advocate for this right was the Declaration of Sentiments, written and adopted at the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention in New York. Worldview host Jerome McDonnell hasjust returned from the Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls. On this edition of Global Notes, he’ll talk about the park and we’ll play some songs by other women working to secure their rights around the world. (Photo: AP Images).
