The new documentary Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel involves more than just a tour of the fantasy life on display at the Playboy Mansion. Oscar-winning documentarian Brigitte Berman also delves into Hefner’s activist streak.
Hefner is best known for challenging the sexual taboos of his time. But he also threw his name and fame behind the civil rights movement and efforts to legalize pot and abortion.
Director Brigitte Berman joined us from Toronto to tell us more about what she learned in her journey to document Hugh Hefner.
