Northwestern University is a finalist in the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2017 Solar Decathlon in Denver, Co.
The Solar Decathlon is a biannual event that challenges “collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive.”
For our monthly EcoMyths segment, Kate Sackman from EcoMyths Alliance speaks with Dick Co, associate professor of Chemistry at Argonne-Northwestern Solar Energy Research Center and founding member and managing director of Solar Fuels Institute and Maggie Waldron, director of program operations, partnerships, & communications of House By Northwestern. They tell how these solar homes can help us live more sustainably and do it affordably.
