Our humanizing tendency can make the unknown a little more approachable. Is that how anthropomorphism works within different faith systems? After all, certain religions view their God as sort of a kind and gentle parent. But other religions disdain the idea of a God with human faults and deficiencies. Here to help us sort it all out is philosopher Stephen Asma. Asma is a professor of philosophy at Columbia College Chicago. His latest book is called, Why I Am a Buddhist: No-Nonsense Buddhism with Red Meat and Whiskey.
