The Kennedy is under construction. Parts of the Blue Line have been closed some weekends. DuSable Lake Shore Drive has been backed up in the mornings. Oh, and every other road has a bulldozer and crane.

Lately, getting around Chicago has felt like an endurance test. On top of it all, gas prices are rising again and a few major summer events — like NASCAR — could snarl things more.
